Meet Paul: The Bee Man

Paul is a bee expert with a true lifetime of experience. He has been in the bee business since the early 60's. He came to Richmond in 1966 and has been making honeybees a part of his living since. Paul, once a commercial operator with a supply business and numerous hives, started and still operates the nation's oldest Specialty Pest Control company, and is known across the mid-Atlantic for his expertise in honeybee colony removals, relocations, and extractions. Paul is big on bee gene lines and enjoys propagating the best, proven, survivor bees that are local to and that are surviving in our area.

Meet Beamon: 

Beamon has been in hives since before he could walk! He built and managed his first hive when he was just four years old and has been beekeeping and doing bee colony rescues his whole life. His family has kept bees since precolonial-era America and probably before, as this family name came with them from Europe (coincidence that in Old English, Beamon means beekeeper!). He now manages over two hundred hives and his love for helping new folks get started with bees is a driving force for our success.
